Find your Kindle's email address
Every Kindle has its own email address. Posts are sent there as books. It takes about a minute to find.
The store your Kindle is registered with. That's not always the country you live in.
Open Amazon's Kindle settings ↗On that page (sign in if asked):
- You're on the Preferences tab.
- Scroll almost to the bottom to Personal Document Settings. On a computer, press ⌘F or Ctrl-F and type Personal Document.
- Under Send-to-Kindle E-Mail Settings, copy the address next to your Kindle.

Allow us to send to it
Amazon only delivers email from addresses you've approved. This stops strangers from sending things to your Kindle.
On the same Amazon page, just below the table: Approved Personal Document E-mail List → Add a new e-mail address, and paste:
Amazon saves it straight away. There's no confirmation email.

Did it arrive?
If it hasn't arrived
- Give it 2–5 minutes with the Kindle on Wi-Fi. Open Library, or pull down and tap Sync. Books sent by email are also under Library → Docs.
- Check the approved address on Amazon for typos. It must be exactly .
- Check that you used the Kindle's address, not a reading app's (for Mac, iPhone…).
- Then send another (up to 3 a day).
You're set
Your Kindle is connected. Posts you send arrive as their own little books, usually within a minute.
