Delete your account
In the app (quickest)
- iPhone and Mac: Settings → Delete account, at the bottom.
- Android: Settings → Account → Delete account.
It's immediate, and it signs out every device on the account.
Without the app
Email support@postbook.app with the subject Delete my Postbook account. Send it from the address that gets your Postbook notices if you set one up, and tell us your Kindle's email address. Before deleting, we check that the account is yours, and we reply when it's done, within 7 days.
What's deleted
- Everything Postbook keeps about you, at once: your Kindle's address, your devices, what you've shared and your books' covers. The privacy policy lists it all.
- Copies of pages and summaries expire on their own within 7 days.
- A keyed hash of your Kindle's address (not the address itself) is kept for 12 months, so the free books can't be claimed again by a new account. Then it's deleted.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription: cancel it in your Apple account's subscriptions, or in Google Play → Payments and subscriptions.
